2019 American Advertising Awards: Call for Entries

There’s no extra charge for student campaign entries or last call entries.

Early Bird Discount

For Member & Non-member entrants who submit their work before 11:59 PM on January 3, 2019, a $15 discount will be applied for each entry. This Discount does not apply to Student entrants. To be eligible for this discount all submissions must be complete with the guidelines & requirements provided.

Last call for Entries

The last call for entries will be January 18th, 2019. Physical entries may be submitted and paid for at final entry drop-off (below). To submit work, you MUST fill out all information and requirements online before printing the entry and manifest forms. Entry and manifest forms are REQUIRED for each submission at drop-off.

Final Entry Drop-Off

The final entry drop-off for physical entries (not web/digital) date is Friday, January 18th, 2019 at The Herald-Leader (3-7pm).

Entries should be placed in 12×18 bags. Free bags are available for pickup at the following locations Monday-Friday, 10am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

If you are paying for entries with a paper check, you must bring a check with you to the Herald-Leader on the drop-off date. Please make all checks payable to “AAF Lexington” or send to PO Box 1815, Lexington, Kentucky 40588-1815.

Check and credit card payments will be accepted at the final drop off location.

Rules & Guidelines

The American Advertising Awards, home of the ADDY® Award, is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through competitions offered through local AAF clubs. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards – recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. Entry in your local Ad Club competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY.
